2008 Video Game Awards
The Spike 2008 Video Game Awards will be airing and among the various awards that’ll be handed out will be exclusive debuts of highly anticipated games. GTAIV also nailed down the Best Action/Adventure title of 2008, which is another impressive win for Rockstar’s epic crime drama.
MGS4 did manage to snag Best Graphics and Best Original Score, and although LittleBigPlanet lost out in a variety of genres, Media Molecule picked up Studio of the Year, which we actually find a bit surprising. It’s good to see the developers of one of the most entertaining and innovative games of the generation garner some well-deserved recognition, though.
This year, the event will also be the first place you can spot world premieres of exciting new video games, including Fight Night Round 4, Uncharted 2, Brütal Legend, God of War III, what’s next for Gears of War 2, Terminator Salvation, Watchmen: The End Is Nigh, Mafia II, Grand Theft Auto IV: The Lost and Damned, and more.
